California Wildlife Damage Management EIR/EIS Scoping Meeting
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) and Wildlife Services (WS-California), a state office within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service (APHIS), are preparing this joint Environmental Impact Report and Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS). This EIR/EIS provides environmental review of wildlife damage management activities undertaken in California by CDFA and Counties, as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and by WS-California, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

The intent of the EIR/EIS is to analyze reasonably expected or determined impacts from WS-California’s existing wildlife damage management activities, as well as the wildlife damage management activities to be conducted under CDFA’s proposed Wildlife Damage Management Program.

The purpose of these meetings is to solicit input from public agencies and members of the public regarding the development and scope of the EIR/EIS.
